Pathaan Box Office Collection Day 18: Shah Rukh Khan's Film Gets A "Solid Weekend" At Rs 459 Crore

Simply put, Shah Rukh Khan's Pathaan is unstoppable at the box office. The film that released in theatres last month is still going strong. The film crossed the Rs 450 crore mark on Saturday, reported Bollywood trade analyst Taran Adarsh. In his tweet, Taran Adarsh deconstructed the film's box office collection and he mentioned that the film collected Rs 11 crore on Saturday alone. The film's box office collection currently is Rs 459.25 crore. Taran Adarsh elaborated on the film's box office collection so far and he wrote in his latest tweet: "Pathaan is back in form, big escalates on [third] Sat... While national chains grow substantially [Fri Rs 2.58 cr, Sat Rs 4.85 cr], mass pockets witness jump, contribute to the solid total... [Week 3] Fri 5.75 cr, Sat 11 cr. Total: Rs 459.25 cr. Hindi. India biz."

Taran Adarsh deconstructed the box office collections of the Tamil and Telugu versions of the film and he wrote: "Pathaan Tamil + Telugu (Week 3): Fri 15 lacs, Sat 25 lacs. Total: Rs 16.80 crore. Note - Pathaan Hindi + Tamil + Telugu combined biz: Rs 476.05 cr. India biz. Nett BOC."

Pathaan, the biggest opener in Hindi cinema, earned Rs 55 crore at the Indian box office on the first day of the release. Additionally, the spy thriller sold 5.5 lakh tickets for its first day in advance booking. The film also received largely good reviews from film critics. In his review for NDTV, film critic Saibal Chatterjee gave the film a 3.5 star rating and he wrote: "Phenomenally entertaining and consistently engaging, Pathaan, for all the derivative genre components it compiles, is a spy thriller that crackles with energy."

The spy thriller, directed by Siddharth Anand and produced by Yash Raj Films, features Shah Rukh Khan alongside Deepika Padukone and John Abraham. The film released in theatres last month. The film also featured Dimple Kapadia and Ashutosh Rana. Salman Khan also featured in a cameo appearance in the film.
