London:
Beatles legend Paul McCartney and his wife Nancy Shevell celebrated their recent nuptials with a party at New York's Bowery Hotel.
McCartney, 69, and the American heiress tied the knot in front of 30 friends and family members in an intimate ceremony at London's Marylebone Register Office on October 9, Femalefirst reported.
Among those in attendance were Yoko Ono - the wife of the singer's late bandmate John Lennon - and her son Sean Ono Lennon, Living On A Prayer hitmaker Jon Bon Jovi, fashion designer Ralph Lauren, New York mayor Michael Bloomberg and singer-songwriter James Taylor.
The guests were treated to a candlelit vegetarian feast, champagne and dancing to Motown music before the party drew to a close at around 1am.
While leaving the event, actress Aida Turturro said, "Wow. Wow. Wow. That was amazing! The best part of the party was the dancing. But it was all amazing!"
The pair recently returned from their four-day honeymoon at Rolling Stones singer Mick Jagger's luxury beachfront mansion on the Caribbean island of Mustique.
