- Southern superstar Pawan Kalyan is all set to play the role of maverick cop Chulbul Pandey, made famous by Salman Khan. Even as Dabangg sweeps the award shows in Bollywood, the Telugu film industry is gearing up for a remake of the blockbuster film.
- The film borrows it’s title from another iconic character of Hindi cinema – it will be called Gabbar Singh. Pawan Kalyan puts in double duty as producer and the movie will be directed by Harish Shankar who has hits like Mirapakaya and Shock under his belt. This will be Pawan Kalyan’s first time as producer.
