New Delhi:
Peepli Live co-director Mahmood Farooqui, who is facing trial on the charge of raping an American woman, on November 16 denied the allegations levelled against him and said that he has been falsely implicated in the case.
Mr Farooqui, while recording his statement as an accused, told Additional Sessions Judge Sanjiv Jain that he has neither sexually assaulted nor forced himself upon the woman. (Also Read: Peepli Live Co-Director 'Forced Himself' on American Researcher, Court is Told)

Mr Farooqui has been accused of raping a 35-year-old American pursuing a PhD from Columbia University. She was in India for research.
