Penelope Cruz will begin shooting for the 24th Bond film after she turns 40.
Los Angeles:
Actress Penelope Cruz is reportedly in talks to play the Bond girl in the 24th installment of the James Bond franchise.
The actress, who is expecting her second child with actor-husband Javier Bardem, will start shooting for the movie after she turns 40 in April next year, reports thesun.co.uk.
Noteworthy is that Cruz will also become the oldest actress to play the character after actress Honor Blackman, who was 39 when she starred as Pussy Galore in the 1962 release Goldfinger.
"Bond girls are always brainy and sexy, and that's totally Penelope," said a source.
Actress Naomie Harris played the Bond girl in the last James Bond outing Skyfall. While actor Daniel Craig played the elusive spy for the third time in the film, Bardem portrayed the main antagonist Raoul Silva.
