Pepsi will promote Michael Jackson's album Bad

Pepsi will promote Michael Jackson's album Bad
New Delhi: Pepsi will market the re-release of Michael Jackson's album Bad.

The cola brand, who have worked with the late singer on numerous occasions, have joined forces with his estate to promote the re-release of his legendary LP.

Advertising will vary from country-to-country, but will include a television commercial, special edition cans with Michael Jackson's image, and chances to win downloadable remixes of his songs.

A spokesperson for the estate said: "We're here to market the re-release of the Bad album and Pepsi is the most effective place to do it."

In 1984, the Rock My World star's hair famously caught fire during a pyrotechnic mishap while filming an advert for the soft drink.

Despite causing severe burns on his scalp, Michael worked with Pepsi twice after the incident, once in 1988 and again in 1991.

The accident is thought to have contributed to him finding pain relief in prescription drugs, leading to an eventual addiction.

Michael Jackson died on June 25 2009, and his body was discovered by Doctor Conrad Murray in his Los Angeles home.

His personal physician was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter in November 2011 after supplying him with a lethal dose of sedative drugs.
