SRK, who has been attending the film festival since the past couple of years, quipped that he that his 'Bengali needs to improve in the next edition,' reports news agency PTI. "Now, I am attempting eight lines in Bengali, please bear with me. I am honoured to be present at this special event of the film festival)," SRK told the crowd gathered at Netaji Indoor Stadium in Kolkata.

KIFF is the second oldest film festival in the country. Mostafa Taqizadeh's Iranian film Yellow was screened after the inauguration ceremony. It will also pay homage to veterans like Om Puri, Tom Alter and Ramananda Sengupta.
