New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on October 1, expressed grief over the 'unfortunate demise' of legendary singer Asha Bhosle's son, Hemant.

Hemant Bhosle, who was the eldest of Ashaji's three children with her first husband Ganpatrao Bhosle, worked as a pilot for some years and then had a brief musical career composing for little-known films like Barrister and Taxi Taxie, a 1977 film in which he used both his mother and aunt Lata Mangeshkar's voices on the soundtrack. He passed away on the 86th birthday of Lataji.
