Police investigate Chris Brown and Drake brawl

  • Police are investigating reports of a gun being fired in Chris Brown and Drake's brawl.
  • The singer, the rapper and their entourages were involved in a fracas early on Thursday (15.06.12) morning at New York's W.i.P club, and police are now looking into witness' claims someone could have fired a gun.
  • New York Police Department spokesman Paul Browne said: "While none so far reported seeing a gun, several witnesses have told New York Police Department detectives they heard what they believed was a gunshot inside the club during the disturbance.
  • "Detectives are investigating these reports further."
  • Injuries to bystanders as a result of glass thrown during the fight - reportedly over singer Rihanna, who was not at the club but has dated Chris and Drake - include a female Australian tourist, who had to have 16 stitches to her head and model Ingrid Gutierrez, who was sitting at Chris' table when the fight happened and was hit with a bottle.
  • He lawyer, Sal Stazzullo, told E! News: "We want to get the witnesses that eye witnessed the crime of assault with a bottle against Ingrid."
  • Of her injuries - which include bruises, stitches and trauma to her face - he added: "Plastic surgery is probably likely. At this moment right now she is just getting treated."
  • Chris also injured his chin in the fight, his bodyguard, Big Pat, sustained a head wound and basketball player Tony Parker said he suffered a minor injury, but it won't affect him playing in the forthcoming Olympics.
  • Police have yet to make any arrests in connection with the fight.
