No matter how many photos and videos we chance upon from the sets of Ponniyin Selvan 2, it is never going to be enough. Agree? That's the magic Mani Ratnam's magnum opus holds. While many of us are enjoying the period drama in theatres, the cast and crew of PS-2 are treating fans to some unseen pictures from the sets of the film. The latest album was shared by celebrated costume designer Eka Lakhani. Well, the picture that caught our attention was the one featuring Trisha, who plays Chola Princess Kundavai in the film, with a fan. Going by the photo, it appears Trisha was waiting for her shoot in her costume on what looks like a boat. The photo album also featured Karthi, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Jayam Ravi and Sobhita Dhulipala. Blood, sweat and fun define the photos, which Eka Lakhani captioned: “Who said it was all fun and no play!? PS-2.”
The first image shows Karthi's face smeared with fake blood and having fake injuries. It is followed by a super cool image of Aishwarya Lekshmi posing in her costume and black shades. Next, we see Sobhita sitting in a chair, dressed as Vaanathi. The next few pictures show Sobhita Dhulipala posing with Eka, Aishwarya Lekshmi having fun with the crew, as well as Vikram and Jayam Ravi prepping for the shoot.
Eka Lakhani's post has now gone viral on Instagram. Reacting to it, Sobhita commented: “Man... so good to see these pictures! Such good times!” Filmmaker Lokesh Kumar also dropped fire and clapping emojis.

Ponniyin Selvan – 2 opened to positive reviews at the box office last week. It is the second part of Mani Ratnam's 2022 film set against the Chola dynasty. PS-2 is based on Kalki Krishnamurthy's popular historical novel Ponniyin Selvan (The Son Of Ponni).
After the release of Ponniyin Selvan – 2, Vikram began shooting for his upcoming film Thangalaan. However, he recently sustained a rib injury and is now taking a short break from the shoot. Vikram's manager Suryanarayanan M tweeted on Wednesday, "Thank you for all the love and appreciation Aditha Karikalan aka Chiyaan Vikram has received and for the astounding response to PS2 from all over the world. Chiyaan sustained an injury during rehearsals resulting in a broken rib due to which he will not be able to join his Thangalaan unit for a short while. He thanks everyone for your love and promises to be back on his feet and rocking at the earliest."
PS-2 released in theatres on April 28 in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada.
