Mumbai:
Bollywood actors Ranbir Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra have said that the release of their upcoming movie Anjaana Anjaani should be postponed as it coincides with the verdict of Ramjanmabhoomi-Babri Masjid issue.
"It is an important day for the country. I hope there is no dispute and the decision is favourable to all. Audiences may not be able to go watch the film on that day," Ranbir told reporters.
Priyanka too echoed similar views.
"It is a big day for all of us. Even I think the film should not be released on September 24 when such a big decision is going to be announced," Priyanka said.
"With security being deployed in many places it will be practical to postpone the film's release by a week or so as some may not be able to go watch it," added Ranbir.
The 27-year-old actor said he is trying his bit, although postponing the release is difficult.
"It is not in my hands but we are in talks with the producer. There are too many people involved in the release of a film and it may be difficult to push the release as bookings are already made," he said.
Directed by Siddharth Anand, the movie is a romantic comedy revolvings around the lives of Kiara (Priyanka) and Akash (Ranbir) who are trying to find luck in their lives after several failed attempts to be successful in their careers and in love.
