Pranab Mukherjee, Finance Minister and President hopeful, got a thumbs up from a rather unexpected quarter.
In a rare display of political conviction, Salman Khan tweeted:
Ranveer Singh begged to differ:
Ranveer will have to throw in his lot with someone else, though, because Mr Kalam has refused to run for President.
And Twitter-happy Ram Gopal Varma also had an opinion, though, for once, no names were mentioned:
Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan, the ones we'd expect opinions on politics from, were inexplicably silent.
Pranabda is the Congress' candidate for President and will have to fight former Lok Sabha Speaker P A Sangma for the post.
