Mumbai:
Bollywood actor Prateik, has revealed he was shattered with the duds in his career so far, but is not giving up.
"I was heartbroken. When you put in so much of effort and then people don't like the film, it makes you upset. But I am young and I am a fighter," said the actor, who will be seen next in Issaq.
"I am lucky to play this character. The role has everything in it - drama, violence, heroism. It is a perfect package for any package," he said.
The actor also added that he did a lot of preparation for the role.
"I did a lot of preparation for the role. I did voice preparation and also worked on diction. I worked on my physical structure as well," he said.
Directed by Manish Tiwary, Issaq also features newcomer Amyra Dastur. Not many know that Prateik was initially apprehensive about her performance, but was in for a pleasant shock.
"I was apprehensive when it came to Amyra as she was so young. I doubted if she will be able to pull off the role. But when she started the workshop, she took everyone by surprise," he said.
