For a while now there have been speculations surrounding Prateik and his Ek Deewana Tha co-star Amy Jackson. The actor, who is apparently dating the British model, is now even helping her professionally. Smita Patil's son is keen that she finds a foothold in Bollywood. He is making sure that she learns Hindi and has been introducing her to industry folk.
Prateik's keen concern for her has already landed her Nikhil Advani's next film besides a South flick.
A source said, "Now that they have completed the shooting for Ek Deewana Tha, Amy has been spending a lot of time in Mumbai. She has already enrolled in an acting class and brushing up on the language and diction.
The source added, "The young couple is always together. Even when she has to travel out of Mumbai, Prateik makes it a point to drop and pick her up from the airport. They recently even attended an awards event together."
The source continued, "Amy is excited about making an acting career in Bollywood. Prateik has been a big source of encouragement and support for her. As she is new, Prateik is making her aware of the hows and whys of the industry."
Their film, which is slated to release early next year, is the remake of Menon's own Tamil and Telugu film, Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa and Ye Maaya Chesave.
