Mumbai: Television actress Pratyusha Banerjee who shot to fame with Balika Vadhu filed an FIR in Mumbai's Kandivali police station on Monday, alleging 8 people barged into her home and a few among them identified themselves as policemen.

"I was home with my mother when eight people entered my home and asked for Rahul Raj Singh. I said he doesn't stay here, this is my house but they said I'm lying and started barging into my house. When I tried to shut my door, they actually started pushing the door on me and my mother," said Pratyusha.

It all started when a car recovery agent, Amit Dalvi, approached the actress' house on December 31 to collect a monthly instalment. But Mr Dalvi claims, soon after reaching the location, he was beaten up by Pratyusha's boyfriend Rahul Singh. Following which, he registered a non-cognizable complaint against Rahul.

The police however, have refuted the actress' claims stating that there were only two policemen out of the four people who went to Pratyusha's house. The policemen were accompanying the group on Mr Dalvi's request and one of them was the security supervisor of the society.

"Her mother opened the door slightly and told them that Rahul Singh wasn't home. The policemen asked her to send Rahul Singh over to the Kandivali police station once he reached home as he had beaten up the recovery agent. Pratyusha too agreed to it and soon after that, all the four left the place," said Mukund Pawar, senior police inspector.

Meanwhile, the police continue their inquiry by recording statements of eyewitnesses and will now be sending the CCTV footage of the building for examination. (Also Read: Pratyusha Banerjee Says No Fight With Bigg Boss Co-Contestant Kamya Punjabi)
