Mumbai: The actor often visited Dongri where his upcoming film was shot to savour the local sights and flavours.
As preparation for his character in Sanjay Gupta's upcoming movie, Tusshar Kapoor visited Dongri several times before the shoot began there. The director had asked the actor to visit the area to get the hang of his character.
A source close to the actor says, "Tusshar visited Dongri often. He also had food like paaya and other mutton delicacies with the locals. He also took information about Shaikh Munir, the character he is playing." He was mobbed the first time he went to Dongri and then later the actor used to go late evening wearing a cap so that he would go unnoticed.
Tusshar says, "Youngsters would meet and talk to me about my film Golmaal. Sanjay knew a few people in the area so I would meet them to understand their lingo and also binged on some yummy food."
