Actress Priyanka Chopra, who will make her debut in Hollywood with beachside film Baywatch, has made a mark for herself on the international platform with American TV show Quantico. The actress feels that Indian actors deserve a lot more than what they get from the world.
The 33-year-old Mary Kom actress said that Indian actors are often stereotyped it he West.
"It is difficult to go to another country and do things. I want to thanks all my fans for being so supportive. We get just one per cent of what Indian actors deserve from the world. We shouldn't be boxed in a certain kind of role," Priyanka said during her acceptance speech at the IIFA awards.
The actress received two awards at the IIFA Awards ceremony. She won Best Supporting Actress and Woman of the Year Award at the gala.
Priyanka said that she is extremely proud of being a part of Bollywood and thanked all her directors for mentoring her so well that today she can stand her ground internationally.
"We are from one of the most prolific film industries from the world and I stand my ground no matter where I go. I thank every director who I have worked with in these 13-15 years.
"They have made me strong enough to go into any country and stand in front of any camera and between action and cut I know my job. Thank you Hindi film industry for teaching me to be the best I can be," the Dil Dhadakne Do actress said.
