Bollywood actor Priyanka Chopra, is all set to debut in another field -- the music industry.
Insiders are aware that Priyanka is a trained western-classical singer. She even taken to the stage at a show in Holland, circa 2007. Her performance was very appreciated, with many admitting she was way better than they had previously thought.
And now the former Miss World has signed on with the Universal Music Group (UMG), one of the world's largest record production companies, and Desi Hits!, a leading music company which specializes in Indo-Asian fusion, to record and distribute her debut album. The deal was signed through Interscope Records and Island Records in the UK
On Twitter, Priyanka shows her excitement with these successive tweets:

This also marks the first time a leading worldwide star has signed on with Desi Hits!--previously, the company was hired to remix popular tracks by Britney Spears and Lady GaGa, which subsequently did exceedingly well in the subcontinent.
