Nicholas Hoult - who recently split from the Silver Linings Playbook actress after two years together - is delighted her career is going so well and hopes she takes home the Oscar for Best Actress next month.
The 23-year-old Warm Bodies star told E! News at the Los Angeles premiere of the movie on Tuesday (29.01.13): "Yeah, very proud".
The British heartthrob also confirmed he is rooting for Jennifer, who has already won a Golden Globe and a Screen Actor's Guild Award this month in addition to several other accolades, at the Academy Awards on February 24, ahead of her rivals Naomi Watts, Emmanuelle Riva, Jessica Chastain and Quvenzhane Wallis.
A source close to the former couple previously insisted there are no hard feelings between them following their split.
The insider explained: "They're young and grew apart. But they remain friends."
The actress began dating Nicholas after they met on the set of 2011's X-Men: First Class and she previously insisted she never wanted them to become a celebrity couple.
She said: "You don't want your relationship to be in the press, but at the same time - and this is only a theory - the more you try and keep it secret, the more the media tries to crack it open. Maybe there's less pressure if you admit you are dating. Admitting that is just an experiment. I'm going to see how it goes."
The actress also revealed other women were jealous of her because of how attractive Nicholas is.She explained: "He has absolutely no idea how good-looking he is... I think a lot of women and men hate me because of that."
