Kristen Stewart "doesn't care" if people hate her.
The On the Road actress - who admitted cheating on boyfriend Robert Pattinson with married director Rupert Sanders earlier this year - didn't intend to make people "angry" with her actions, but insists public opinion has no effect on her.
She said: "It's not a terrible thing if you're either loved or hated. But honestly. I don't care because it doesn't keep me from doing my s**t. And I apologise to everyone for making them so angry. It was not my intention."
The 22-year-old actress also admitted the attention she has received because of her high-profile made her "close off" from other people, but she is now making more of an effort to maintain a normal social life.
She added in an interview with The Daily Beast: "It's a little annoying having to be so compartmentalised. I go from box to box to box. Like right now, this is so crazy 'cause we're out at a restaurant. But I'm going out a lot more now. I was starting to get closed off and self-conscious, and I'm trudging forth into the world more often."
