Allu Arjun's film Pushpa 2 has been performing well at the box office, consistently earning solid numbers. However, since Day 5, the film has seen a slight dip in its earnings each day. On Day 7, it has already surpassed the Rs 1000 crore mark globally. With this achievement, the film emerged as the fastest Indian film to surpass the Rs 1000 crore mark at the global box office.
As per Sacnilk, Pushpa 2 earned Rs 42 crore, with the Telugu version contributing Rs 9 crore, the Hindi version bringing in Rs 30 crore and the Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam versions earning Rs 2 crore, Rs 0.6 crore and Rs 0.4 crore, respectively. The film's total net collection in India stands at Rs 687 crore. Its occupancy rates across various regions include 29.92% for Telugu, 32.69% for Hindi, 20.32% for Tamil, 25.96% for Kannada and 8.84% for Malayalam. According to trade analyst Manobala Vijayabalan, the movie has earned Rs 1025 crore globally.
One of the standout achievements of Pushpa 2: The Rule is its record-breaking performance at the Indian box office. The film surpassed RRR-the magnum opus directed by SS Rajamouli-to take the crown for the biggest opening ever for an Indian film. Additionally, in the Hindi language markets, the movie dethroned Jawan, directed by Atlee, to become the highest-grossing opening for a Hindi-language film.
Directed by Sukumar, Pushpa 2 picks up where its predecessor, Pushpa: The Rise (2021), left off. The much-anticipated sequel continues the story of red sandalwood smuggling, with Allu Arjun reprising his role as Pushpa Raj, alongside Rashmika Mandanna as Srivalli and Fahadh Faasil as Bhanwar Singh Shekawat. The film also features seasoned actors such as Jagapathi Babu, Dhananjaya, Rao Ramesh, Sunil and Anasuya Bharadwaj.
