Kangana in a still from the movie Queen
New Delhi:
Kangana Ranaut's Rani from Rajouri was given the warmest of welcomes at the box office at home and now China is rolling out the red carpet for Queen.
The Tamil and Telugu remakes of the film has already been green-lit and now we hear that a Chinese remake of the film is also on the cards. The movie apparently caught the attention of producers at the Busan International Film Festival who then showed interest in a remake. (Also read: Queen to be Remade in Tamil, Telugu )
The film's director Vikas Bahl will reportedly be creatively involved with the remakes. It's hard to imagine that after having travelled through Paris and Amsterdam, Queen - the story of a sheltered Delhi girl who goes on her honeymoon alone - will have any trouble in China.
Queen, which also stars Rajkummar Rao and Lisa Haydon as well as a cast of little-known Western actors, was a runaway hit and won rave reviews for its script and Kangana's endearing performance.
