New Delhi:
Britain's Queen Elizabeth II and her husband the Duke of Edinburgh arrived at a prestigious London hotel to host a pre-wedding reception for foreign royals on Thursday evening.
The Queen hosted royals from across Europe and the Middle East at the Mandarin Oriental hotel in Hyde Park. Wearing a long lilac and silver dress, the Queen was greeted by her cousin, Lady Elizabeth Anson, who was hosting the evening.
All four of the Queen's children attended the event, but the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall stayed only for the drinks reception. The Prince and Duchess were due to dine with Prince William at their official London residence, Clarence House.
Apart from members of the British royal family, the guest list included Prince Pavlos of Greece and Princess Marie-Chantal, Queen Sofia of Spain, Prince Felipe and Princess Letizia of Spain, Queen Margarethe of Denmark, Crown Prince Alexander of Serbia and Princess Katherine, the Grand Duke and Duchess of Luxembourg, King Harald of Norway and Queen Sonia.
