Rachel McAdams to Join Benedict Cumberbatch in Doctor Strange

Los Angeles : The Notebook star Rachel McAdams is set to join Benedict Cumberbatch in Marvel Studios' superhero film Doctor Strange, reported Entertainment Weekly.

The film tells the story of neurosurgeon-turned-sorcerer Stephen Strange, played by Benedict, 39, however, the 36-year-old Midnight in Paris actress' role is yet to be revealed. (Also Read: Benedict Cumberbatch 'Excited' to Play 'Doctor Strange')

Doctor Strange is directed by Sinister's Scott Derrickson. Rachel joins the cast which includes Tilda Swinton as Dr Strange's mentor, the Ancient One, and Chiwetel Ejiofor as the villainous Baron Mordo. (Also Read: Here's Rachel McAdams' The Notebook Audition Tape)

The actress was recently seen in the romantic comedy Aloha, boxing drama film Southpaw and the second season of HBO's True Detective.

She will be next seen in the upcoming fact-based drama Spotlight. Doctor Strange is scheduled to release on November 4, 2016.
