On Twitter, Radhika made this clear:
Several reports quoted the actress as saying, "I saw it and laughed it off because it is really funny. I am really busy. I can't waste my time doing that. My family and I never get affected by any of these things. So it just doesn't bother me." The quote was attributed to this interview published by E3 Talkies two days ago, but which actually appears to date from when nude 'selfies,' allegedly of Radhika, found their way online in February this year.
At the time, Radhika wrote on Twitter: "If you're going to get someone to pass off as naked me, she needs to a lot more like me."
The clip that made the rounds of WhatsApp does actually feature Radhika and belongs to a short film made by Anurag Kashyap as part of an international docu-series. The cyber crime branch of the Mumbai Police is investigating how the clip was released after Mr Kashyap filed a First Information Report or FIR.
Radhika Apte has appeared in two Bollywood films this year - Badlapur and the Anurag Kashyap-produced Hunterrr - and has received good reviews.
On Twitter, Radhika made this clear:
Just to clarify I have not reacted or given any statement to any news outlet.
