Actress Radhika Apte, who studied contemporary dance in London, will participate in a tribute to legendary singer Asha Bhosle, who celebrates her 83rd birthday on Thursday. Radhika, 31, will dance to some of the singer's biggest hits from films like Saagar and Namak Halaal, reported Hindustan Times.
The performance will reportedly blend contemporary and Latin dance forms and Radhika will share the stage with choreographer Terence Lewis.
Radhika Apte, 31, has featured in films like Manjhi: The Mountain Man and Phobia. She has also starred in critically acclaimed short film Ahalya and was last seen in Rajinikanth's gangster drama Kabali. Her film Parched releases in India on September 23.
Asha Bhosle, who has sung for actresses like Waheeda Rehman to Rekha and Madhuri Dixit to Kareena Kapoor Khan, is admired for songs like Chura Liya Hai Tumne Jo Dil Ko, Jhumka Gira Re, Koi Ladki Hai and Tanha Tanha. Till date she is regarded as one of the phenomenal voices of Bollywood.
