New Delhi: Indian music maestro AR Rahman is going to perform his Oscar nominated single If I Rise with Brit popstar Florence Welch at the 83rd Annual Academy Awards on February 27.
Rahman's second collaboration with director Danny Boyle, on 127 hours, has had as much success at the award shows as Slumdog Millionaire, at least in terms of nominations. Rahman's nominated for Best Original Score and If I Rise is up for Best Original Song.
This will be the Mozart of Madras' second performance at Oscar awards. He last performed in 2009, singing Jai Ho, and took home both awards he was nominated for.
