Pics: Rahul and Dimpy's story so far
Rahul Mahajan and Dimpy Ganguly put up a show of togetherness in public for the first time today after a quarrel on Friday when the Kolkata-based model walked out to return the same day following an apparent patch up.
The couple who got married just in March this year visited the famous Sidhhivinayak temple here this afternoon to seek blessings.
"We have no issues between us and I love my wife. We are together and therefore came to take blessings of the God," Rahul, who kept his arm around Dimpi's shoulders, told reporters.
However, Dimpi. who had earlier spoke of her marital woes and physical abuse, refused to speak to the media.
Dimpi, 22, walked out of Rahul's home on Friday accusing that her husband punched, kicked and dragged her by hair.
She married 36-year-old Rahul, son of late BJP leader Pramod Mahajan, with much fanfare in a reality show "Rahul Dulhaniya Le Jayega" in March.
Dimpi had told media, "Rahul beat me up early on Thursday morning after waking me up to know the contents of a message that had beeped on my phone. When I asked him to go back to sleep, he flew into a rage and began hitting me. He punched, kicked and dragged me by hair.
Dimpy showed bruises on her shin and hands. Her left cheek was also swollen and she had a lump on her head.
The model, who had left her husband's home vowing never to return, told reporters that she had had a "conversation" with Rahul, who expressed regret. Dimpy returned to the Mahajan residence in Worli on the same day on Friday.
Rahul's former wife Shweta Singh, who was his childhood friend, had also accused him of physically abusing her. The couple got divorced in 2008 after which Rahul participated in Colors' reality show "Big Boss".
He continued to be in the limelight for his closeness with co-contestants Monica Bedi and Payal Rohatgi.
Incidentally, Rohatgi too had alleged harassment by Rahul, saying he has been calling her asking for a second chance.
