New Delhi:
Reality TV star Dimpy Ganguly is seen matching her steps with Rahul Mahajan on the dance basedshow Nach Baliye 5, but the former model says her husband takes away all the limelight because people are more keen to watch him.
Dimpy, 24, who had tied the knot with Rahul on the TV show Rahul Dulhaniya Le Jayega three years ago, said she faces difficulties in dancing with him as he is from a non-dancing background.
"It's very difficult to dance with him. He has no sense of beats at all. I really have to work hard to make our performance presentable. But Rahul takes away all the limelight because he is too adorable and everyone knows he cannot dance," said Dimpy.
The couple were in the Capital to hunt for the 12th dancing pair from the public for the fifth season of the show Nach Baliye.
Dimpy said the main reason behind taking up the show and competing with 11 other pairs was to spend quality time with each other.
"I would suggest every married or unmarried couple should take up dancing. It is such a beautiful art form that ignites a passion between the two. We are enjoying together doing something creative. Since, we both are involved in the one show, we are getting maximum time to spend with each other,"she said.
The Kolkata-born actress, who is a national level swimmer, started her career in showbiz with modelling. She won the regional level beauty pageant and also appeared in many Bengali soaps. She also did a Bengali film Hello Memsaheb, which hit theatres in 2011.
But her ticket to fame was her participation in reality show Rahul Dulhaniya Le Jayega, where she married him after beating 16 other girls. "I went on the show thinking it was a sham. I was notserious about my wedding because I was 21. But, from the beginning, Rahul was very serious about marriage. I met him on the show and found that we are two crazy people with many similar interests. We tied the knot and I don't regret it. I am very happy with him and it was a dream wedding," she said.
Dimpy had also appeared in Zor Ka Jhatka, Comedy Circus and Kahaani Chandrakanta Ki. Now, she plans to take a break from acting and start a family.
"We will complete three years in March. Now, I want to concentrate on my family. I have been working since I was 16. I want to take rest. If anything comes to me I will definitely do that but I will not go out of may way. I want to have a family now," she said.
