In the wee hours of August 25, Raima Sen announced on Twitter: I am getting married to Varun Thapar.
As proof, she posted these pictures.

Later in the day, Raima tweeted: Last nite was a joke and I'm not getting married.
Varun is my best friend, she clarified.
And she took umbrage to a story run by Mumbai Mirror which quoted a friend as saying that Raima had just been in "high spirits" at a party in Kolkata, and that the Sen and Thapar families were taken wholly by surprise.
Yesterday, an indignant Raima tweeted: Morning.well d Mumbai mirror artcile today was unfair.it was a prank tht went out of control .but it was all in fun.whrs ur sense of humour.
Just to make sure, she said: hope all my followers understand that I was just having fun with my friends guess need to be careful as not every follower is a well wisher.
Twitter followers rushed to assure her that they totally understood.
