New Delhi:
Shah Rukh Khan today met legendary actor Rajinikanth in Chennai. SRK launched the audio for the Tamil version of his superhero flick RA.One in Chennai today.
SRK spent about 30-35 minutes with Rajnikanth. "I had a cup of coffee with him, he gave me coconut water. I spent about half an hour with him and he was cheerful and happy and he was wishing me luck for my film," SRK told NDTV.
You know I can't compare myself with the great Rajini sir. I wanted to take his blessings, to be a part of the film. So he himself and his wife sent me dinner- they are such kind people. So, I just wanted to go and thank them personally. And I was happy to see him full hale and healthy, it was really nice to see him and to convey my regards of everyone in the unit," SRK said.
Speaking on RA.One, SRK said, "It's a science meets superhero kind of film. I really think technology and every other way. People here are well aware of it. So they will enjoy it. And because people here are so thinking, they will like the visual effects and it's a family film and I am playing a South Indian."
Last week, SRK had revealed some moments from the cameo at a press conference to launch the social game of RA.One, RA.One Genesis. "We at RA.One team are overwhelmed when Rajini Sir came on the sets of RA.One," SRK said.
"In the scene, I am trying to save Kareena (Sonia in the film) and kid and that's the time when Chitti (Rajini Sir) comes," he said.
SRK went on to say that the scene had been shot as a tribute to the legendary actor. The superstar paid tribute to Ghazal maestro Jagjit Singh who passed away this morning.
"It's really sad. I have known him from childhood, from Delhi days, and it's really sad when a legend like him passes away, what can I say, just condolences for the people left behind and may Allah bless his soul," he said.
