Spectators at the Chennayin FC vs Kerala Blaster football match last night were probably hard pressed to keep their eyes on the pitch action instead of the VIP stand where a trinity of screen and sporting deities were watching the game. Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan and Tamil force of nature Rajinikanth cheered home team Chennayin FC, which is co-owned by Mr Bachchan's actor-son Abhishek. Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar was also seated next to them, as co-owner of Kerala Blasters.
Amitabh Bachchan tweeted this picture of the trinity:
And here's a snapshot from #CHEvKER that easily qualifies as LEGENDARY! Don't you think? #LetsFootball #HeroISL pic.twitter.com/yvlIGBPUIU

Rajinikanth, who wore his trademark white shirt, attended at the invitation of Amitabh Bachchan, with whom he has co-starred in films like Hum. Mr Bachchan wore a yellow jersey (Kerala Blaster's colour) but waved a blue Chennayin FC flag to show his allegiance. His son Abhishek wore a Chennayin FC jersey. Sachin was, of course clad in yellow.
