Spectators at the Chennayin FC vs Kerala Blaster football match last night were probably hard pressed to keep their eyes on the pitch action instead of the VIP stand where a trinity of screen and sporting deities were watching the game. Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan and Tamil force of nature Rajinikanth cheered home team Chennayin FC, which is co-owned by Mr Bachchan's actor-son Abhishek. Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar was also seated next to them, as co-owner of Kerala Blasters.

Mr Bachchan wore a yellow jersey (Kerala Blaster's colour) but waved a blue Chennayin FC flag to show his allegiance. His son Abhishek wore a Chennayin FC jersey. Sachin was, of course clad in yellow.

After the home team beat Kerala Blasters 2-1, Mr Bachchan tweeted:
