Superstar Rajinikanth, admitted to a hospital in Singapore, has been discharged. The actor's son-in-law, Dhanush tweeted: "Superstar discharged from hospital. He has recovered completely and taking rest. Soon national award celebrations :) god bless"
The actor however would stay in Singapore for a bit, before moving ahead with the shooting of his latest film, Rana.
His family said the actor is on a vacation and will return to India in July.
Rajinikanth, who had suffered from exhaustion on April 29, the first day of the shoot of his latest venture Rana, was admitted to the Isabel Hospital in Chennai and discharged the same day only to be readmitted there on May 4 for allergic bronchitis and viral fever.
He was then admitted to Sri Ramachandra Medical Centre for respiratory infection and other problems.
He travelled to Singapore on May 28 reportedly for kidney treatment at the Mount Elizabeth Hospital.
