Tamil superstar Rajinikanth, who is on a thanksgiving visit after recovering from ailmentrecently, offered prayers at the famous hill shrine of Lord Venkateswara at Tirumala today.
Rajinikanth, an ardent devotee of Lord Venkateswara, wasaccompanied by his wife Latha, daughters Aishwarya andSoundarya and sons-in-law Danush and Ashwin besides Telugu filmstar Mohan Babu, temple sources said.
They spent about 30 minutes inside the temple, thesources said.
Family sources said the 61-year-old actor undertook thevisit to pay his thanks to the Lord for his speedy recoveryfrom the ailments he suffered in May.
Rajinikanth had last visited the shrine after the weddingof his daughter Soundarya with Ashwin on September 9 lastyear.
The actor, who took ill during the shoot of the filmRana in April, underwent treatment at a hospital inSingapore for reported kidney problem.
