Rajinikanth Remembers S P Balasubrahmanyam - His "Voice For 45 Years"

Fans of S P Balasubrahmanyam were in for a melodious surprise when the makers of Rajinikanth's Annaatthe released the legendary singer's final song on Monday. The track Annaatthe Annaatthe is the first single from the upcoming movie. To mark the special day, superstar Rajinikanth remembered the late singer, who has been his voice for 45 years. SPB died last year after contracting COVID-19. Praising the singer's prowess, Rajinikanth penned a heartwarming note in Tamil script. The actor said that he had "never dreamed that this would be SPB's last song for him". The actor ended his note, “My love for SPB will live through his sweet voice forever."

Elated fans flooded the comment section praising the evergreen duo.  “Evergreen combo, Thalaivaaa,” wrote a user.

Another traced Rajinikanth and SPB's journey in the industry. “From Chilakamma Cheppindi (1977), Bhuvana Oru Kelvikuri (in Tamil) to Annaatthe (2021), superstar Rajinikanth and SPB are evergreen and legendary combo,” the post read.

This person requested Rajinikanth to share a video card message for the legendary singer. “Expecting a video card message for SPB from you on Annaatthe's title card Thalaiva,” he wrote.

Some were excited to see Rajinikanth grooving to the peppy number. 

Annaatthe Annaatthe's announcement was made by Sun Pictures on Twitter. “The first single from Annaatthe is here.” The song sets the mode and is just perfect as Rajinikanth's opening number in the film. The lyrics are penned by Viveka. 

Annaatthe is directed by Siva. The upcoming family drama features Keerthy Suresh, Meena, Khushbu, Meena, Soori and Prakash Raj in crucial roles. The movie is slated for a November release.
