Rajinikanth was last seen on the silver screen in Lingaa

Director Ranjith has been roped in to direct Rajinikanth in his next, yet-untitled, Tamil project, say industry sources.
"Ranjith's project with Rajinikanth is finalized. The film will be produced by Kalaipuli S Thanu. The rest of the cast will be finalized soon," a source told IANS.
Two-film-old Ranjith's last outing was the critically-acclaimed Tamil thriller Madras.
Apparently, Rajini was supposed to team up with filmmaker Shankar for Enthiran 2. But the source added that the project is pushed to next year.
