New Delhi:
Model-turned-actor Rajneesh Duggal relates to intense characters more than anything and is keen on doing an intense romantic movie.
Last seen as Karisma Kapoor's love interest in supernatural thriller Dangerous Ishhq, the 32-year-old wants to continue doing grim roles.
"Even in love stories there are intense love stories, like Veer-Zaara, Kabhi Kabhie and Devdas. Those are the kind of stories I want to to do. Such characters, which are intensely romantic and not just running around the trees," Rajneesh told IANS.
"I feel personally also I am an intense guy and these things attract me more. There is no such barrier where I want to stop myself, but my first choice will always be an intense character," he added.
A known face in the modelling world, he bowed in Bollywood with 2008 horror movie 1920.
How does he handle the pressure?
"I think pressure is something you decide whether to take it or not. One always want to do better than previous work...I want to better myself in every attempt. Hits and flops are part of work," he said.
His next is for small screen. He will be seen as Lord Rama in Life Ok's upcoming show Ram Leela. To pe presented as a theatrical play, the show will be wrapped up in five weeks.
"I think the whole idea of doing Ram Leela over a period of five weeks is amazing. On the whole it sounded very interesting and something that I have never done before. I have shot for television commercials, done ramp, done print ads but this is something live on stage that I am doing.
"It will be presented on television like a theatre work...On top of that playing Lord Rama sounded all the more interesting to me," he added.
