Akshay Kumar's Raksha Bandhan-special post is a blast from the past. The actor shared a throwback picture of himself along with his sister Alka Bhatia. He added an equally adorable caption to go with the photograph that he dug out from his archives. "Je tu mere naal hai teh zindagi vich sab changa (With you by my side, everything is better). My sister, my pillar of strength since day one. Happy Raksha Bandhan," he wrote. In no time, the comments section of the post was filled up with heart emojis from the actor's Instafam.

Akshay Kumar often shares throwback pictures with his sister on Instagram. A few years ago, Akshay posted this throwback with sister Alka and wrote, "My go to person when I'm in a dilemma, someone who's always stood by my side, corrected me when I'm wrong, happiest for my achievements. The most selfless person I know, my sister Alka. I wouldn't have been the person I am without you."
Akshay Kumar, who featured in a film titled Raksha Bandhan last year, during an interaction with NDTV, recalled the day his sister was born and told NDTV, "The biggest memory was when she was born...my dad came to pick me up, 'aaja your sister has come.' The first time I saw my sister, my mother told me 'ghar ki devi hain yeh'. I remember that clearer than any other day in my life."
On the work front, Akshay Kumar starred in the moderately successful OMG 2, co-starring Pankaj Tripathi and Yami Gautam. The film released earlier this month and it clashed with Gadar 2 at the box office. He will also be seen in Housefull 5. The actor confirmed the project in an Instagram post earlier this month.
