Rana will be seen in the upcoming action film Baahubali.
Mumbai:
Rana Daggubati has tried his hand at different films - political, crime thriller, action-drama and even romance. But the actor now wants to focus on the action-drama zone as he feels his strength lies there.
"Now I want to get back into the zone that actually I am strong at. Actually the reason I became popular down south is the proper drama-action zone, which I want to continue doing here (in Bollywood)," the 29 year-old said here in an interview.
Currently, Rana is also shooting for an action film Baahubali, directed by SS Rajamouli, who has earlied helmed Eega.
Rana, who has worked down south in a couple of movies, ventured into Bollywood in 2011 with Dum Maro Dum, a crime thriller.
Later, he was seen in Ram Gopal Varma's action film Department, where he played a cop.
The film didn't fare well at the box office, but Rana does not regret working in the film as he got to share screen space in itwith industry stalwarts like Amitabh Bachchan and Sanjay Dutt.
Calling it a "huge and great experience", he said: "Though the film (Department) didn't do well at all, it did reasonably well for me. What I took back from the film is the beautiful memories, working with Mr. Bachchan and Sanjay Dutt.."
He said that it would have been good if the film had done well but he has no regrets.
"I grew up on a cult-classic film director called Ram Gopal Varma, who made films like Shiva, Satya and all of those. Well, it would have been nicer if it would have been a better film, but still no regrets! I had a great time doing that film," he added.
