Chennai:
The massive floods that hit Chennai and many parts of Tamil Nadu recently also brought in a wave of another kind. Amidst the devastation and havoc all around, came in waves of empathy and aid from volunteers which included ordinary citizens and celeb faces.
Among the many contributions was that of the Telugu film industry which came together in the nick of time, even as the horror was unfolding, under the banner of 'Manamadrasakosam'. Working on a war footing, they managed to put together tons of relief material and collaborated with the people of Chennai and the rest of Tamil Nadu. They brought it all in and made sure it reached the people who needed it most.
