Ranbir Kapoor is celebrating his first wedding anniversary with Alia Bhatt today

Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt – two of the country's biggest superstars – are celebrating their first wedding anniversary today. The couple, also turned parents to a baby girl, Raha Kapoor, last year. Speaking about taking on the mantle of a family man, Ranbir Kapoor has said that he can always do better. In an interaction with Free Press Journal, the actor – who is the son of Neetu Kapoor and the late Rishi Kapoor – said, “I don't think I am a great son, a great husband, or a brother. But I think I have the desire to be better and that's important as long as you are aware of it, you will be on the right track.”

In the same interview, Ranbir Kapoor also said that he leans on his family and loved ones when it comes to challenges or rough patches in his career. He also added that as a new father, he has come to respect his parents more now. “I guess when you become a parent, your respect towards your parents also increases. I think my upbringing and the value system instilled by my parents; I will carry that in my children. It's a lifetime commitment. You aren't qualified but will become qualified,” he said.

Meanwhile, celebrating the happy occasion, Alia Bhatt shared some unseen images from their proposal and wedding festivities. The first of the three images shared by Alia is from the couple's haldi ceremony and features the couple hugging each other, smeared in turmeric paste, and posing for the camera. The second photo – which has Ranbir Kapoor on one knee, holding Alia Bhatt's hand – appears to be from the couple's dreamy proposal in Maasai Mara National Reserve in Kenya. The third image features the couple dancing while smiling. Sharing the photos, Alia Bhatt wrote, “Happy day [chick emojis].”Responding to the post, Karan Johar and Zoya Akhtar dropped a bunch of heart emojis. Neha Dhupia said, “Alia, Ranbir, Raha [heart emoji].” Gauahar Khan and Mouni Roy also wished the happy couple.

Alia and Ranbir got married in April last year at their house Vastu, in an intimate ceremony. They were seen together in the 2022 film Brahmastra: Part One – Shiva directed by the couple's BFF Ayan Mukerji.
