Actor Ranbir Kapoor, who will beperforming for the first time with his mother Neetu Kapoor onstage for an awards show, says she is nervous and so is he.
"She (Neetu Kapoor) is very nervous... she has notperformed for a while. Actually, even I am nervous and excitedto perform with her," Ranbir told reporters here at the pressconference of Colors Screen Awards.
"I coaxed my mother to do a nice jig on stage. We willbe performing on songs picturised on my family members. I amsure she will steal the limelight," the actor said.
Ranbir will perform on his mother's popular songParda Hai Parda from the film Amar Akbar Anthony.
The 30-year-old actor also expressed the desire toshake a leg with all his family members including cousinKareena Kapoor.
"I tried to get Kareena to perform for the awards thistime but she was not available. She is a very talentedactress," Ranbir said.
"I won't be able to do a romantic song with her as weare cousins. So I guess, we will do a Rakhsha Bandhan song,"he said.
Ranbir's film Barfi! has been nominated in 17categories at the Color Screen Awards including best film,best director, best actor and actress, best screenplay, bestplayback singer.
"When we were working on 'Barfi!' no one had suchconfidence in the film. The result has been a pleasantsurprise. Nominations also do matter to me... I am happy withit. But it is the support of the audience that matters," hesaid.
Apart from Ranbir, all the three Khans are alsobattling for the best actor trophy of Color Screen awards. Thecontenders include Salman Khan for Dabangg 2, Shah Rukh Khanfor Jab Tak Hai Jaan, Aamir Khan for Talaash, HrithikRoshan for Agneepath, Manoj Bajpai for Gangs of Wasseypurand Irrfan Khan for Paan Singh Tomar.
The nominations for best actress include DeepikaPadukone (Cocktail), Kareena Kapoor (Heroine), ParineetiChopra (Ishaqzaade), Priyanka Chopra (Barfi!), Sridevi(English Vinglish) and Vidya Balan (Kahaani).
