Ranbir Kapoor has reportedly been summoned by an Udaipur court for smoking in public. He has been summoned on June 26, exactly a month after Shah Rukh Khan was summoned by a Jaipur court for smoking at an IPL match.
A complaint was filed on Friday by Udaipur resident Harish Vaishnav who spotted pictures of the actor smoking on the sets of his latest film, Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani.
The pictures appeared in local newspapers. The film also stars Deepika Padukone and is being shot in Udaipur.
Ranbir will be booked for violating Section 5 of the Rajasthan Prevention of Smoking Act.
The Rajasthan Prevention of Smoking Act caveat dictates that if a person is found guilty of smoking in public places, he can be sentenced to a maximum imprisonment of six months or a fine of Rs 200.
