True to his onscreen character of Rancho, the inquisitive student giving a tough time to his teachers, Aamir Khan's Marathi tutor anticipates the same while giving him language lessons.
"It is just a month that we have started. We have done eight lessons as of now. But I anticipate that as we go further, Aamir will ask a lot of questions," Suhas Limaye told PTI.
"I got a fair idea of his intellect when I was teaching him how to frame questions. Though we had just started, he asked me if the same could be posed in some other way too."
"What he meant was that in spoken Marathi, grammaticalrules could be broken. I told him that he has jumped several lessons ahead in one go. It was also a fair indication of what was in store for me as a teacher from a sincere, and intellectual student like Aamir," Limaye said.
Limaye lamented that because of the actor's busy schedule, the classes are held of and on. He attributed the same to Aamir's profession and busy schedule.
Limaye also informed that true to the moniker earned by him, the 45-year-old actor is a perfectionist.
"He is sincere, studious, honest and a perfectionist. He pays meticulous attention to the script," he said adding he does everything with utmost concentration.
According to Limaye, the 3 Idiots actor would require another one and a half years to learn Marathi.
He also informed that besides Aamir, his wife, son and daughter too are learning Marathi from him.
Limaye was all praise for Aamir for taking special efforts to learn Marathi. "His knowledge of Hindi and Urdu helps," he added.
"Aamir could have easily done without learning Marathi. But he publicly accepted that he was ashamed that he did not know Marathi. Accepting it and making a special effort to learn the language is commendable and worth emulating," he said.
Limaye also had a word of advise for pro-Marathi groups. "All those who talk about Marathi should also take such examples into consideration," he said.
