Ranveer Singh says he does not believe in comparisons

Actor Ranveer Singh says he doesnot believe in comparisons and competition and would ratherfocus on his work.
"I don't believe in competition, people may compareme, but I don't compete or compare myself. I believe incompeting with myself. I work very hard for my characters.Everyone is doing their own job, and everyone is great,"Ranveer told reporters here at the promotional event ofLootera.
The period romance is directed by Vikramaditya Motwanewhere Ranveer is paired opposite Sonakshi Sinha.
"It was very interesting to do a period film because anew world is created. I had no clue about 1950s, so to live acharacter, who is living in that era was very interesting. Ihave seen the film and I am very happy. I am very excited andcan't wait for people to see it," he said.
Ranveer sports a clean-shaven look in Lootera forwhich the promotions are on in full swing.But these days Ranveer is seen sporting a moustacheand beard which is his look in upcoming film Ram Leela. Andthe actor has been receiving praise for this new look.
"Everyone is complementing on my moustache and how Iwish I can keep it...but being an actor I have to go accordingto my looks. But this is my Ram Leela look; once I start mynext film maybe I will don something else," he said.
The makers tied up with Mills & Boons books as part ofa promotional strategy.
"My life is filled with Mills & Boons stories. I amvery romantic at heart," Ranveer quipped.The leading lady of the film, Sonakshi said, "I haveloved stories from this book and our film is very much likethose epic love stories."
The film releases on July 5.
