Arjun Kapoor's upcoming film Ek Villain Returns is as gritty and raw as it gets. From the trailer, the action film promises to be a thrilling ride headlined by a cast including John Abraham, Disha Patani and Tara Sutaria, besides Arjun Kapoor. And, ahead of the film's release, the cast of the movie has been dropping posters and glimpses from the sets of Ek Villain Returns. The latest on the list is a glimpse of Arjun Kapoor in character, staring at the camera with a menacing look and a bleeding lip with sparks of fire surrounding him. In the caption, Arjun Kapoor said, “Isse marrna chalega, haarna nahi [He will accept death but not defeat]. Trailer out, tune in now.”
Showing his BFF some support, superstar Ranveer Singh dropped a comment below the post. Summing up the picture, Ranveer said, “Intensity,” with a fire emoji. Actor Sonu Sood also praised the photo and said, “Looking awesome bhai.”
Previously, on the occasion of Ranveer Singh's birthday last week, Arjun Kapoor shared a picture edited to show one half of Arjun Kapoor's face from Ek Villain Returns, while the other half of the face is that of Ranveer Singh as his Padmaavat character, Alauddin Khilji.
Sharing the edited image, Arjun Kapoor said, “Bade parde ke ek bade villain ko janamdin bahut mubarak ho. Ek Villain ko doosre Villain ka salaam. (Here's wishing a happy birthday to a big villain of the big screen. A salute, from one villain to another). Ranveer Singh baba, happy birthday.”
To this, Ranveer Singh said, “Sick,” with fire emojis.
Meanwhile, on Wednesday, Arjun Kapoor also shared a series of images with his co-star Tara Sutaria. In most images, Tara is seen pulling Arjun Kapoor's cheeks. Sharing the post, the actor wrote, “Can someone explain why this Villain is obsessed with pulling my cheeks?” Answering his query, Tara said, “Because the cheeks are just toooo darn squishyyyy! Also, I was gonna post this.” To this, Arjun Kapoor wrote, “Beat u to it squashy Sutaria. You can post the BTS,” with laughter emojis.
Ek Villain Returns will be out in theatres on July 29.
