Ranveer Singh's fast getting a reputation for brashness

Ranveer Singh's fast getting a reputation for brashness
Mumbai: Looks like Ranveer Singh has been attracting a lot of negative publicity lately. Not only is he reported to have a series of cold wars with his industry colleagues, the actor apparently has also been trying "too hard" to impress girls at a Bandra club.

One can only wonder why Ranveer is so keen to rub people the wrong way. There is no escaping the fact that the actor has been consistently making headlines with his bizarre antics. Here's a look

Hair today, gone tomorrow

For his upcoming Sanjay Leela Bhansali film Ram Leela, Ranveer was specifically asked to keep a beard. But when Ranveer walked onto the sets with a clean-shaven look, it was enough to earn Sanjay Leela Bhansali's ire. Apparently a huge fight followed and crew members had to resolve the issue by suggesting prosthetics.

The big shatru?

After Ranveer paid some rather cosy compliments to Sonakshi Sinha by saying, "I would like to date Sonakshi, she is the perfect Indian beauty," Shatrughan Sinha was apparently infuriated by the actor. While the actors shot together in Kolkata for Lootere, Shatrughan Sinha summoned Sona back to Mumbai.

Get, set, go

There was simmering tension on the sets between Ranveer and his co-star Arjun Kapoor, both lead actors of Ali Abbas Zafar's next film Gunday. Apparently while shooting there was constant struggle over one-upmanship between the two. Industry insiders say ever since Ranveer's alleged ex Anushka Sharma was linked to Arjun, he took an instant dislike for the newbie. At a party later, when Arjun tried talking to Ranveer all he got was a big snub.

Girl trouble

Ranveer has time and again referred to his first co-star Anushka Sharma as his girlfriend. However, the girl has always denied it. Sources said that when a fan complimented Anushka, Ranveer apparently snapped, "She is my girlfriend! I will break your nose."

Dip, dip, dippy!

Ranveer has somewhat earned the reputation for digging his co-stars. First it was Anushka, then Sonakshi and now buzz is that he is quite close to Deepika Padukone. The two were even spotted having lunch on New Year's Eve. Will this too end in bitter denials?

Credit crunch

Ranveer apparently even dislikes Maneesh Sharma, who directed his debut film Band Baaja Baaraat. Those close to the actor say Ranveer thought Maneesh was taking a lot of credit for Band Baaja Baaraat away from the film's writer Habib Faisal. The actor has been fast making friends with other directors and even danced for hours at Shaad Ali's nuptials.
