Rashmika Mandanna's birthday gift arrived a day late and how. The actress, who turned 26 on Tuesday, shared a few pictures from the sets of her first film with superstar Vijay. Rashmika's smile in the pictures clearly shows how excited she is. If that's not enough, she wrote this in her caption: "Ok now this feels like something else... Been watching sir for years and years and now to do everything that I've been wanting to do.. act with him, dance with him, take his nazar, talk to him.. everything .. yaaaaay finally! An absolute delight." She signed off the post with these words: "Cheers to new beginnings."

The untitled film will be directed by Vamshi Paidipally and produced by Dil Raju and Shirish under their production house Sri Venkateswara Creations. This will be Rashmika's first movie with Vijay, Vamshi Paidipally and Sri Venkateswara Creations.

Rasmika Mandanna is set for her big Bollywood debut. She will star in Mission Majnu with Sidharth Malhotra. She has two other Bollywood releases lined up - Goodbye with veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan, and Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Animal with Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor and Bobby Deol. Earlier, Parineeti Chopra was meant to star in the project.

Before stepping into films, Rashmika Mandanna started her career as a model for a commercial, from where the makers of Kirik Party selected her for the lead role opposite Rakshit Shetty. After the success of her debut film, Rashmika signed Harsha's Anjani Putra opposite Puneeth Rajkumar and Chamak opposite Ganesh. She also featured in Sarileru Neekevvaru, with Mahesh Babu. The actress also starred in Geetha Govindam, opposite Vijay Deverakonda. She was last seen in the hit Pushpa: The Rise, co-starring Allu Arjun and Fahadh Faasil, which was a big hit.
