Reese Witherspoon scared of travelling

London: Oscar-winning actress Reese Witherspoon says she used to be scared of travelling because she was worried about leaving her children behind.

The 35-year-old who has two children - Ava, 12, and seven-year-old Deacon said she would often turn invitations to events down because she didn't want to leave her kids alone, reported Q magazine.

"I used to not ever travel. I've gotten over so many phobias. Five years ago, I was terrified to travel. I was scared to leave my kids. It's still not the best feeling," Witherspoon said.

The actress also said she always used to be confident about things earlier but started to worry a lot when she hit her twenties.

"I always had a lot of confidence when I was younger, and then I think I got a little nervous in my twenties. But now I feel better. Now I'm in my thirties, it's totally better. I'm a little confident again. Not as scared," she added.

Witherspoon also said she worries about exposing her children to the digital world because computers and technology can be so dangerous.

"The internet is so challenging as a parent. Your children are just a click away from pornography and paedophilia, and it's really upsetting. It feels like a siege. It really makes me upset," she added.
