New Delhi: Actress-turned-MP Rekha, who wasnominated to Rajya Sabha a year back, today attended thesecond half of the Budget Session for the first time andexchanged pleasantries with fellow members. (Read: Rekha to put on her dancing shoes for Super Nani)
She had come to Parliament to cast her vote for electionsto the Committee of Public Undertaking.
When mediapersons later approached her with queries aboutthe functioning of Parliament which is in a state ofstalemate, she did not respond.
Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Rajiv Shuklasought to explain her silence by saying "she is unhappy thatParliament is not functioning".
Rekha was nominated to the Upper House in April last yearalong with cricket icon Sachin Tendulkar and industrialist AnuAga.
Sachin Tendulkar did not turn up for voting today as hewas busy with the IPL season but has said that he will attendthe Monsoon Session, Shukla said.
